On my Windows machine I hit Super key and type GIMP to see if I already have it.
It’s not installed but I immediately get some button to install it via Win Store which looks handy.
Instead of outright opening Windows Store application it opens Edge (which I never use) and within it web page of Windows Store which asks me for permission to open the link in external application. Only then I get to Windows Store where I can click install.
The whole process could have been smooth but it really isn’t.
